The purpose of the study is to develop a machining technology to create texture with high precision and efficiency on large area sliding surface. In order to achieve the purpose, the effectiveness of the method using ultrasonic vibration during knurling is examined. From experiment creating groove, it is found that the pressing force and the friction force are reduced and the groove is wider using ultrasonic vibration. From experiment pressing plane with texture, it is found that clearer texture is created using ultrasonic vibration. From experiment using ultrasonic vibrations with different frequencies, it is found that width of the groove is wider for higher frequency. |
