Localization of Cardiac Source with Lead Field Matrix for Premature Ventricular Contraction

(in English) 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) was invented more than 100 years ago, and is still used as an essential tool to detect early heart disease. In this study, we propose an algorithm to estimate the origin of cardiac source for ECG of eight patients with premature ventricular contraction. First, we solve the ECG forward problem using an equivalent current source with an electric dipole. A lead field matrix (LFM) is then constructed through an evaluation of the forward problem, and the cardiac source is estimated based on the LFM with an OMP. We confirmed that the time when the minimum point distance between the estimated cardiac source and the left coronary cusp at the rise of the input potential. In addition, the minimum distance to the target was smaller than that of other origins in 87.5% of the subjects, suggesting the effectiveness of the proposed method.
