In order for the developed helmet-type PET system to demonstrate its high-resolution performance in clinical practice, motion correction is necessary. In this study, we developed a simple method for aligning the coordinates of the range sensor and the PET system by using a structure on the face in a marker-less motion tracking method using a range sensor. We performed FDG-PET on healthy volunteers and succeeded in obtaining images without any motion blur even when the volunteers intentionally moved their heads. The images were compared with those obtained by static imaging, and no statistically significant difference was observed. |
