We have proposed the use of a circuit with an SP-PS configuration as a magnetic field resonance type coupling circuit for wireless power transmission. The SP-PS coupling circuit is characterized by a configuration in which the capacitance that makes up the resonator in both transmitter and receiver sides is divided into a capacitor connected in series with and a capacitor connected in parallel with the coil. By adaptively adjusting the ratio of the parallel capacitance to the series capacitance of the SP-PS coupling circuit, impedance matching between the transmitter and the receiver can be achieved, and transmission efficiency can be maintained to the maximum against changes in load and transmission distance. In this report, the characteristics of the SP-PS coupling circuit are described using SPICE simulation results in detail. |
