(in English) About 15 years ago, the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector defined the terminology Quality of Experience (QoE). Compared to those days, the performance of the communication environment and the terminals used by users has greatly improved. Therefore, it is considered that the conditions and assumptions for considering QoE differ between those days and the present. In this paper, we first look back on what kind of research and development was done on the premise of the communication environment and terminal performance at the time when QoE was defined, and describe the current trends in QoE research.
