Reducing the number of projections in 3-D Compton Camera using EM-TV based image reconstruction

(in English) It is desired to develop a Compton camera, which has been used for gamma ray detection in space and the environment, as a nuclear medicine diagnostic device that can quantitatively evaluate the distribution of raidopharmaceuticals administrated in vivo. For that purpose, it is necessary to generate a three-dimensional reconstructed image with a system that is not expensive and can scan in a short time. In this paper we incorporated total variation regularization into the Compton camera 3D image reconstruction method, and examined the possibility of improving image quality and reducing the number of projections in Compton camera imaging by Monte Carlo simulation.
