Design and Experimental Verification of Biomedical Ultrasound WPT System Using Impedance Matching Transformer-less Multi-resonant Tank

(in English) A ultrasound wireless power transfer (UWPT) system for implantable medical devices has been originally developing by the authors. The technical issues of the previous prototyping is removal of impedance matching transformer (M.T) which interfaces a high frequency inverter and UWPT module with a rectifier and load. As a solution for the technical challenge, a new UWPT system that incorporates a load-parallel resonant circuit is presented in this paper, which features M.T.-less circuit structure under high switching. The design guideline of circuit parameters is presented on top of the frequency-domain analysis based on the relevant circuit modeling of power stage, after which the system performances are evaluated by prototype.
