(in English) This paper presents an analysis of isolated Dual-Active-Bridge (DAB) DC-DC converters in which the input-output voltage ratio does not match the transformer turns ratio and the power efficiency deteriorates under light load conditions. Especially, when DAB is used as a battery application, the above problem becomes a major issue because the input-output voltage ratio tends to change due to battery voltage fluctuation and the light-load condition is relatively long. The proposed control method can significantly reduce the copper loss when the input-output voltage ratio and the transformer turns ratio are not the same, especially at light loads. In addition, the proposed control method has the advantage that only one variable needs to be controlled in effect. Through practical verification, we have confirmed that the proposed control method can improve the power efficiency at light loads by up to 20%.
