Fundamental study on automatic analysis of handball game by score scene extraction

(in English) Data analysis of sports images is an important task for improving strategy and the technical skills of athletes, but data analysis is often performed manually in minor sports, resulting in time and human costs.
Scenes in which scores vary are particularly important in sports events, but in handball events, for example, game footage can last up to two hours, depending on the content.
In this paper, we propose a method for effectively extracting the scene in which the scoreboard is displayed by assuming that the scene in which the scoreboard is displayed in the game video is related to the score change.
The proposed method aims to reduce the cost of data analysis by extracting scoring scenes from game videos by applying the background difference method.
As a result, we were able to obtain a result of 100% in Recall, which is an evaluation index for missing scene extraction.
