LiON: A L3 Protocol Agnostic Experimental Network Construction Tool Considering Disaggregation of Network/Device Configurations

(in English) An experimental network environment is required to examin new network systems. This paper proposes an exper-
imental network construction tool called LiON (Lightweight On-demand Networking) considering the separation of network
configurations and device configurations. LiON defines two YANG (Yet Another Next Generation) models which disaggregate
network configuration and device configuration. The experimenter can write configuration file easily because the configuraion
file follows the YANG model considering network configuration. LiON can help the experimenter automate their experiments
by building management network separated from the virtual network. The time for constructing and deleting a virtual network
slightly increases as the number of Agents increases. The time for constructing and deleting a virtual network increases as the
number of vNodes increases.
