Prediction of melting process of inorganic compounds in wood using Seq2Seq

(in English) In recent years, the importance of carbon neutrality has been increasing, and biomass gasification power generation facilities with combined heat and power for local production and local consumption, which are one of the distributed power sources to form a regionally distributed smart community that is not affected by weather, have been attracting attention. However, the composition of cedar wood, which is the main thinned wood, differs from other thinned woods such as cypress and pine in terms of potassium content. Therefore, a large amount of clinker is generated in the furnace in a short period of time (1~2 weeks), and the operating time of the gas-fired furnace varies depending on the lumber handled. In this study, we used PhyDNet [1], which is a model that handles time-series information for combustion video data of various types of wood, to predict the combustion process of wood in order to clarify the optimal operating conditions of the gas-fired furnace for each type of wood handled. In this paper, two patterns of data sets were created and compared using SSIM as the accuracy evaluation. As a result, the accuracy of SSIM was about 86% and 91%.
