Design Guideline of Digital Peak Current Mode Control DC-DC Converter Using Current-Frequency Conversion

(in English) The authors have proposed the current-frequency conversion method digital peak current mode DC-DC converter that can detect peak current in real time, however the design guideline for the proposed method has not been clarified. In particular, since a peak current value and an instruction value, which are proportional to each other in the conventional method, are inversely proportional to each other in the proposed method, a resolution of a peak current and output voltage cannot be expressed in the same way as the conventional method. In this paper, the static characteristics of the proposed method are analyzed, and the relationships between control parameters are organized and expressed by equations. This clarifies the effect of the current instruction value on the resolutions of the peak current and output voltage, and clarifies the design guideline so that the proposed method can be designed according to the required specifications. Furthermore, a simulation result of a current balance control during parallel operation of the DC-DC converter, which are achieved by the proposed method, is presented.
