Direction of arrival estimation for avoiding WPT interference by compressed sensing

(in English) The Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system, which transmits high power in the microwave band, is considering the 5.7 GHz band as one of the candidate frequency bands to be used. However, the adjacent bands are allocated to other systems, which may interfere with the communication of other systems. In order to avoid a significant reduction in transmission opportunities, it is desirable to avoid interference without stopping transmission. The interference is reduced by directivity control of the antenna, which directs the nulls in the direction of the interfering terminals. For this purpose, it is necessary to estimate the direction of arrival of interfering terminals. In this report, we first conduct experiments in an indoor multipath environment. Then, we estimate the direction of arrival using the Iterative Shrinkage - Thresholding Algorithm (ISTA), which is one of the compressive sensing methods, on the experimental data and show its basic performance. The results are also compared with simulations. We show the evaluation when the number of elements is reduced as well.
