A Consideration of H-shaped-slot Patch Antenna with 3rd Harmonic Termination using Characteristic Mode Analysis

(in English) In this paper, an H-shape slot patch antenna designed at 5.8 GHz with F-class load impedance for microwave power transfer is proposed. The F-class load function is realized by inserting two H-shape slots. The simulated results show that the reflection coefficient for the optimal load impedance of amplifier device 100Ω at the fundamental frequency is –38.4 dB. The reflection coefficient and phase of the 3rd harmonic are –0.65 dB and 0 degrees, respectively. The simulated antenna gain is 7.43 dBi. The characteristic mode analysis reveals the 3rd harmonic processing mechanism of the proposed antenna. The frequency of TM03 mode shifted by inserting the H-shape slots.
