In autonomous driving, a distance measurement device using the FMCW method that can measure long distances with high accuracy is required. A high-speed thermo-optical phase shifter is loaded on a silicon photonics hybrid laser that uses a silicon photonics chip as an external cavity. The hybrid laser allows us to change oscillation frequencies at high speed. It was shown that distance measurement is possible with a high resolution of 2.5 cm by improving the measurement method. |
