Proposal of drowsiness detection from multimodal biosignals using t-SNE
Takumi Nomura, Shin'ichiro Kanoh (SIT) MBE2021-94
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The method to detect drowsiness from electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and electroretinogram (EOG) while subjects were driving in a drive simulator was proposed and evaluated. In this method, dimensionality of biosignals was reduced by using t-SNE. The data at collision or derailment accidents were treated as that with strong drowsiness. SVM was used to classify the data into two classes. Compared to the method without using t-SNE, the proposed method with t-SNE improved the overall correct response rate to about 90%. The results of SVM training on another day showed that the correct response rate ranged from about 50 to about 80%.
