Time Efficient Risk Assessment Tool for IoT Systems

(in English) We have developed an integrated security design platform that provides security analysis independent of the consultant's knowledge level by examining the selection support function, the input support function, and the collaboration function of the Risk Assessment Tool. Security consulting helps the clients identify the existing vulnerabilities in their system and guide them to apply required countermeasures to prevent the attacks. However, security consultancy takes a lot of time and skilled analysts to generate relevant results. We have developed an integrated security design platform that provides security analysis independent of the consultant's knowledge level by examining the selection support function, the input support function, and the collaboration function of the tool.
We have developed a Threat Analysis Method for IoT systems conforming to the ISO/IEC 15408 by defining the Target of Evaluation (TOE) and information of assets. We then extracted the threats using the 5W (Where, Who, When, Why, What) approach and prioritize the risks using Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS). Finally, we chose the required security countermeasure.
We generated a total of 11385 threats and 34 types of countermeasures are generated for all threats. The time to achieve the results has reduced from 3 months to one week.
