Evaluation of Feedback Methods for Speakers in Speech Rate Converted Conversation

(in English) This study clarifies the characteristics of voice feedback and visual feedback, which are support functions for speakers in conversations using speech rate conversion. We conducted a two-person SRC conversation experiment using a map task to compare the effects of voice feedback and visual feedback. We compared the speech onset rate of the speaker during the RUP and found that the speaker initiated more speech during the RUP when the visual feedback was applied than when the voice feedback was applied. The analysis of the conversations in which the participants started to speak during RUP and the results of the interviews showed that the speakers used each feedback and adopted a strategic style of speech.
