Usage Control Method of Communication Path for Wide-area/Multi-device RDMA Data Collection

(in English) Data Centric computing (DCC) which converts various events in the real world into data and makes them valuable is considered. In DCC, Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) is expected to be used to efficiently collect large amounts of data in order to reduce CPU processing. However, in a situation where a large number of data sources are deployed over a wide area, it is difficult to provide each data flow with the lossless communication environment required by RDMA. Therefore, we propose a communication method that determines the start timing of data transmission according to the data immediacy requirement, allocates communication resources at the time of data transmission, and releases them when data transmission is completed. In this report, we show the outline of the proposed method and the results of evaluating the feasibility by simply implementing the linkage between RDMA communication and communication resource allocation.
