A sequence design for a Phase-Coded Pulse radar using Discrete Prolate Spheroidal Sequences

(in English) We study the design of signals for phase-coded pulse radar so that the absolute values of function values other than the origin of the ambiguity function are as small as possible. The delay and Doppler frequency detection performance in radar is closely related to the ambiguity function of the transmitted signal.
The author has proposed and studied the characteristics of the Gabor-division spread spectrum system, which spreads signals using time-domain and frequency-domain spreading codes. In this paper, we present another radar signal construction method based on Discrete Prolate Spheroidal Sequences (DPSS).
The 2D Gabor division spread spectrum-based construction and the DPSS-based construction are compared with the phase-coded pulse radar. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are described.
