A Design of Lumped-Element Unequal Power Divider with Two Matching Frequencies

(in English) The Wilkinson power divider, which distributes/combines microwave signals, is one of the key circuit components in a microwave circuit system. It consists of two quarter-wavelength lines and a resister, so its circuit size depends on the wavelength. Therefore, its circuit size is expected to be so large at relatively low frequency bands such as those used in the IoT. We have reported wide bandwidth and multiple outputs of circuits by using LC-ladder power dividers composed of lumped-element. This paper deals with an unequal power divider, which consists of nine lumped elements, that can be matched at any two frequencies. This circuit can achieve the same or wider bandwidth as the original circuit by holding the two frequencies close together. It also shows that can achieve two matching frequencies ratio of four by separating the two frequencies. Furthermore, we have designed and analyzed unequal power dividers in the 920MHz band as broadband circuits, confirming that effectiveness by a commercial electromagnetic simulator.
