Answers regarding impressions and estimating texture evaluation using machine learning

(in English) Material impression is always using subjective evaluation, because impression is based on our psychophysical sensation. However, psychophysical sensation is often met hard to express by numerical scale like a method of magnitude estimation. Most of our psychophysical sensation is strongly connected linguistic expression. Therefore, numerical scale evaluation always involving repeated trials with several items for evaluation precision. On the other hand, this evaluation method required taking long time and it increase participant fatigue. In this study, authors tried to reduce participants fatigue and time required using BERT as a linguistic machine learning estimation. Participants were evaluated material appearance of stimuli used sentence expression and seven-point scaled evaluation. Answers of sentence expression were analyzed by BERT. In this paper, authors reported analysis of BERT results.
