We have proposed and studied full-duplex retroreflective communications using Van Atta array retroreflectors.
In the previous study, a BPSK modulator with transmission line switching was used, which caused discontinuities in the signal and adversely affected demodulation.
Therefore, we introduced a continuous shifter with a varactor and studied the effect of reducing noise and narrowing the spectrum during modulation.
Time-domain numerical simulations using a one-dimensional difference method are performed for a BPSK modulator with discontinuous switching or continuous variation, and the effect of introducing a continuous phase shifter is examined by comparing the frequency spectrum of the modulated waves of the two modulators. |
