Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The construction of a network system to collect data and a system to extend the communication service area using drones is under consideration.
Drones enable a flexible and high degree of freedom in network construction.
The drone moves to a point where the communication station has a high signal to noise ratio (SNR) and received power, enabling the construction of an unprecedented communication system, such as keeping high communication quality.
However, when the propagation environment is poor, performing a handover to a base station with good communication quality is necessary.
The one method to speed up handover is IEEE 802.11r, but this standard does not specify a method for scanning other channels.
Moreover, while the relay station is scanning other channels, packets cannot be received even if data is sent from the access point to the relay station.
Therefore, video applications without retransmission control and requiring real-time have a quality degradation issue.
Therefore, this paper proposes a method to solve packet loss during channel scan in handover.
We confirmed the improvement of the delay time versus the number of packet losses during channel scan by a simple evaluation of the proposed method.
