MPSC-Based Optical Fingerprint Positioning System using Search-area Partitioning

(in English) There is growing interest in positioning system in order to provide location based services. As a positioning system suitable for indoor use, the optical fingerprint positioning system has been proposed. The system uses multiple LEDs as transmitters and estimate receiver's position by comparing the received optical power patterns and the reference one. In this paper, an effective method to compare the optical power patterns by using the order of the strength of the optical power patterns is proposed. By evaluating the positioning performance by computer simulation, it has shown that the proposed method reduces the number of comparing two optical power patterns while maintain the previous positioning performance.
