Wireless communication systems such a train radio system and CBTC have been upgraded and getting more broadband. It is more important to estimate characteristics of radio propagation to develop the radio communications systems for a typical railway environment. Therefore, using 3D-models of structures along a railway line, we ran a ray-trace simulation and analyzed propagation characteristics: such as a path loss, a delay spread, and an angular spread. Analyzing the results of some frequencies and 3D-models, we report radio propagation characteristics in railway straight sections in urban area. |
