A Study on Increasing the Bandwidth of Orthogonally Polarized Omnidirectional Antenna Using Halo Antenna

(in English) Recently, orthogonal polarization MIMO antennas have attracted attention as antennas for cell phone base stations. In this paper, a narrow, low profile, broadband antenna for Orthogonal polarization MIMO antenna is considered. A combination of a broadband Halo antenna with four parasitic elements and a sleeve antenna with an upper sleeve structure is proposed, and its antenna characteristics are confirmed through simulation analysis. As a result, the antenna has wideband characteristics with a relative bandwidth of more than 10 %, which is equivalent to |S11|, |S22| ≤ -10 dB.
