TOF and DOA Estimation Using PN Correlation Method with 2D-FOCUSS in UWB Wireless System -- Improvement of Signal Source Position Estimation Performance in Multipath Environment --

(in English) The PN correlation method can estimate TOF (Time of Flight) with high accuracy in the UWB wireless system and can estimate DOA (Direction of Arrival) using an array antenna. In a multipath environment, however, we have a problem that TOF and DOA estimation accuracy deteriorates due to the mixing of multipath waves. Therefore, the method has been proposed in which multipath waves are separated by compressed sensing to obtain the desired wave, and improvement in estimation accuracy has been confirmed. In this study, for more accurate estimation, we proposed 2D-FOCUSS with improved multipath separation performance by dividing multipath waves not only in the time domain but also in the spatial domain. As a result of the simulation, the estimation accuracy of both TOF and DOA is significantly improved.
