In our previous study, an Over-The-Air (OTA) evaluation method for massive MIMO antenna systems with controllable the number of paths was presented. The validity of proposed OTA method, which can control the number of paths by setting the number of scatterer sets and the reproduced number of base station element for each scatterer set, is substantiated tough the Monte Carlo simulation. This paper presets an OTA testing method with controllable the number of paths for the massive MIMO antennas system using a fading emulator with a limited number of scatterers. 64 elements quasi-half-wavelength dipole circular array antenna on the turntable placed on the center of fading emulator is used to assess of the proposed method. The OTA results confirmed that the proposed method generates the desired number of paths according to the propagation environment via the suitable control of the turntable. |
