Radar clutter is defined as unwanted backscatter signals generated from objects in the natural environment such as ground, sea surface, and buildings. Imagining the harsh operating environment of automobile radar, such as the autonomous driving in the near future, the clutter suppression technology may be an ultimate radar signal processing, as a primary purpose of radar sensor is to identify a target of interest. If there are scattered objects near radar target, it can be assumed that all the scattered waves generated by these objects are added vectorially and input to antenna and receiver, making target detection itself difficult. % Radiation field has a spatial width depending on electrical antenna aperture size, and all reflected waves from the beam area are detected in the form of overlapping by radar. For a long time, the statistical or electromagnetic scattering models have been used in the study of clutter signal processing, and many results have been achieved. On the other hand, the largest feature of the point wave source treated in this paper is omni-directional, and there are many reports employing the feature. In these background, regarding clutter sources are replaced by small point sources, we study and discus the feasibility that it may be possible to express geometrical and electrical characteristics of terrain or individual objects easier by owning their specific phases and amplitudes. |
