Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Utilization of dolphin like bio-mimic signals are proposed for underwater acoustic localization assuming water-side security using an extreme low radiated noise underwater vehicle. The sound ray analysis is performed to detect the signals under three coastal waters in Japan, off the coasts of Ishikari, Hokkaido, Shima, Mie, and Satsumasendai, Kagoshima. There are 32 cases of false detections in the total 216 cases, which are combinations of 2 dolphin clicks of Bottlenose dolphin and Finless porpoise, 3 water depths of near surface, half depth, and near bottom, 2 seasons of summer and winter, and 6 ranges from 50 to 1000 m.
