Further large-capacity and small-cell base stations are being studied for Beyond 5G and 6G, and the demand for larger capacity of wireless back-haul and front-haul is increasing. OAM (Orbital Angular Momentum) as a technology to increase the capacity of wireless transmission to respond to this demand. OAM mode multiplexed wireless transmission has attracted attention. The authors have been conducting research and development to realize wireless transmission of more than 100 Gbps to the back-haul and front-haul of small cells by OAM mode multiplexed wireless transmission on millimeter wave. In this paper, we will explain OAM mode multiplexed wireless transmission technology and introduce the research and development of OAM mode multiplexed wireless transmission that we have been doing. |
