[Invited Talk] Nonreciprocal composite right/left-handed metamaterial transmission lines with ferrite loaded waveguide

(in English) Nonreciprocal composite right/left-handed metamaterial transmission lines with ferrite loaded waveguide are reviewed. A transition point P_0 from the LH mode to the RH mode appears within the forward propagation band when a bias magnetic field H_0 is applied antiparallel to a ferrite loaded waveguide periodic strucrure supporting the LH or RH mode. The transmission band including P_0 can be easily swept by the strength of H_0, however it is not easy to apply H_0 antiparallel in practical circuits. Then, the design and experimental results of a recently proposed structure that reverses the direction of the RF electric field instead of the bias magnetic field H_0 using a folded waveguide are reviewed, and the operation including the P_0 and the variable phase shifting characteristics that can continuously sweep from the phase delay by the RH mode to the phase lead by the LH mode depending on the strength of H_0 are introduced.
