Research and development related to Beyond 5G, the next generation of fifth-generation mobile communication systems (5G), is underway, and optical fiber communication technology is becoming increasingly important to support these systems. In this study, soliton control, one of the noise reduction techniques, was used to address the noise in optical amplifiers, which is an issue when aiming to expand transmission capacity by optical soliton transmission using amplitude multi-level modulation. We conducted simulations using the dispersion value of the optical fiber, the bandwidth of the optical filter used for control, and the modulation of the optical intensity modulator as variables, and investigated the effect of maintaining the intensity difference of amplitude-modulated soliton pulses and reducing the noise. |
