[Poster Presentation] Propagation characteristics from indoor wireless devices to outdoor environment

(in English) Wireless control system of outdoor terminals from an indoor access point has been discussed. In such a system, it is important to clarify propagation characteristics from indoor to outdoor environments to establish a reliable system. In this report, the propagation characteristics in such an environment are investigated. We analyze the spatial spread of the propagation characteristics from indoor to outdoor environments by using the Ray-tracing method and the Aperture field method. The dependence of the characteristics on the size of the window, which is the aperture surface from an indoor to an outdoor environment, and the transmitting position of the access point in an indoor environment are discussed. The spread size of the propagation characteristic is quantified using the half power beam width (BW) of the distribution of the signal strength. This analysis shows the characteristics of changes of BW and clarifies the relationship between BW and the size of the first Fresnel zone.
