[Poster Presentation] Double-Directional Channel Characteristics in a Conference Room Environment at 300 GHz

(in English) In recent years, the millimeter wave band from $mathrm{sub}-6~mathrm{GHz}$ to $100~mathrm{GHz}$ and the terahertz band beyond $100~mathrm{GHz}$ have attracted attention due to demands for higher data rates, ultrahigh reliability and ultra-low latency. The THz band has been considered for use in fixed wireless access such as short-range communications and long-distance backhaul lines. In this study, we developed a $300~mathrm{GHz}$ band channel sounder to develop radio propagation measurement techniques and propagation path models in the $300~mathrm{GHz}$ band, which is one of the most promising frequency bands for the extension of the THz band to mobile wireless access applications. This paper describes the developed $300~mathrm{GHz}$ channel sounder. In this paper, we first describe the details of the developed $300~mathrm{GHz}$ channel sounder system. Then, the results of high-resolution double-directional channel measurements in a medium-sized conference room using the developed channel sounder and data processing are described. The results are compared with those of a previous study in the $60~mathrm{GHz}$ band, which was conducted with a similar antenna setup to the present measurements, and it is found that the same dominant multipath component (MPC) was observed in both frequency bands. Due to the wide bandwidth of the developed sounder, the clusters obtained resemble an impulse-like function, and the comparison was made by identifying each path from the measurement results.
