A Memory-Saving Software Implementation of Pairing Computation on the GMT8-544 Curve

(in English) There has been a lot of research on increasing the security of IoT, and encryption is one of the methods. Pairing cryptography is called advanced cryptography and can handle complex systems with a high level of security. However, the pairing computation, which is the core technology of pairing cryptography, is computationally slower than ECC and conventional cryptography, so an efficient implementation is required. In this paper, we use the GMT8-544 curve, which is one of the most promising candidates for the parameters of elliptic curves, and devise a software implementation suitable for operation on a device with minimal computing and storage capacity. We show that it can actually be implemented on a microcomputer such as the Arduino Nano 33 IoT.
