A scalable and asyncronus group end-to-end encryption protocol

(in English) E2E encryption is useful as a method of maintaining message confidentiality in chat, a modern and easy means of communication. Existing key-sharing methods for E2E encryption have scalability issues when used in chats among three or more participants. Therefore, we designed a scalable and secure key-sharing method for E2E encryption that is useful in group chats, implemented it, and evaluated its performance. In order to reduce the number of processes required in key sharing, the proposed method is able to apply a binary tree-based algorithm. The results showed that the proposed method can share keys for E2E encryption in a short processing time even when there are many participants. However, some issues remained, such as the lack of scalability when the number of participants in a chat session is small.
