[Poster Presentation] Correction protocol of erasure errors on surface code for Rydberg quantum computer

(in English) The Rydberg atomic quantum computer with optical tweezers array has good properties as a platform for quantum computing and communication. On the other hand, it has problems with erasure errors, in which atoms escape from traps, and leakage errors, in which quantum states escape to levels other than qubit space. In this study, we investigate the effects on logical qubits encoded with planar code when erasure and depolarizing errors occur on it. Due to an increase in the number of syndrome measurements required for decoding in systems where errors also occur in auxiliary qubits, the total erasure rate of data qubits is raised, and thus the code does not function as an error-correcting code. Therefore, we propose a protocol to protect the logical qubits from erasure and leakage errors by combining the expansion and shrink operations of planar codes and the rearrangement of qubits arrays.
