Application of passive radar for ocean current measurement

This study indicates that when passive radar technology is applied to
ocean current field measurements, the expected accuracy may not be met
in the region close to the line segment connecting the transmitter and
receiver due to degradation of range resolution and velocity
resolution.
In the case of velocity field measurement using an
external transmitter between passive radars, it was shown that the
influence of degradation of range resolution and velocity resolution
can be suppressed by using an external transmitter located away from
the line segment connecting the passive radars. |
