In local railways, the fastening device may not be supported due to corrosion of wooden bolsters, etc., which may lead to gauge widening and derailment accidents. In order to prevent this derailment, it is necessary to accurately detect the location of the widening of the gauge, but at present there is no device that can measure the widening of the gauge affected by the train load.
Therefore, we worked on the development of a device that can easily detect the point of dynamic gauge widening. We will report the results of the sensor confirmation test in the indoor test of this device, the test results on the Yamagata Railway Co., Ltd. track, and future issues. |
