Ultrasound technology is a widely used non-destructive inspection method.
However, there are still few pieces of research on the application of ultrasound to frozen materials. In this study, we focus on the possibility of non-destructive inspection of frozen tuna. This is because, despite the wide quality variation of tuna, there is a lack of non-destructive methods to inspect frozen tuna quality. This fact raises the expectation of a novel method for it. In this research, we introduce the results of a trial to inspect the quality of tuna using ultrasound and also suggest a method to automate it using machine learning. |
