Research trend of Tin based perovskite solar cell
-- From Lead free perovskite solar cell to all perovskite tandem solar cells -- Shuzi Hayase (UEC) OME2022-64 |

The certified efficiency of the lead halide perovskite solar cell (Pb-PVK PV) is now 25.7 %, which is close to that of single crystalline silicon solar cells even though there are large difference in the cell size between them. Tin based halide perovskite solar cells (Sn-PVK PV) follows the Pb-PVK PV. The Sn-PVK PV is a Pb-free perovskite solar cell, and tin lead alloyed halide perovskite solar cells (SnPb-PVK PV) are expected as a narrow band gap-bottom cell of the all halide perovskite tandem solar cells. The research has been focused on enhancing the efficiency and the durability by decreasing defect densities. This paper summarizes the research trend on the Sn-based PVK PV, including our approaches and discusses the future.
