In this study, we attempted to visualize flight paths using 24-hour data from May 15, 2016. The data was about 2 million, and the number of recorded flights was 4383. We used Tableau, a BI tool, and OpenGlobus, a JavaScript-based tool, to draw aircraft flight paths. It was found that using a heat map allows an intuitive understanding of the flight area and the representation of spatial density and altitude information. Suppose many heat maps showing standard flight paths are created and used as training data for machine learning. In that case, they can be applied to detecting anomalies in aircraft trajectories. |
