Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) For energy harvest (EH) technology utilizing human motion with walking, we propose the flexible (EH) device which incorporated narrow-channel structure. This method generates electrical power by flow of nematic liquid crystals with anisotropic dielectric constant or capacitance changes. As the results, we clarified the effect of increasing the dielectric constant change by adding narrow-channel structure within the flow region of the liquid crystal. Furthermore, we demonstrated that the proposed EH devices which is connected to Bennet-Doubler’s circuit showed electrical power generation depending on its bending operation.
