(in English) In recent years, abnormal weather events such as guerrilla torrential rains have been increasing, and flood damage is also on the rise, so there is a need for constant monitoring of the environment. This paper introduces the construction of a system to monitor water levels in rivers and lakes in Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture, using LPWAN, a low-frequency band that can communicate over long distances and go behind barriers such as vegetation, and the start of a demonstration experiment.
