Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, the millimeter-wave radars are installed in modern automobiles. However, only limited studies have reported the assessment for millimeter-wave radars operated at 79GHz. In the international guidelines/standard, restrictions are specified to prevent human body from adverse health effects. In the guidelines, absorbed/epithelial power density (APD) and incident power density (IPD) are used as physical quantity to specify basic restriction and reference levels respectively, above 6GHz. This study evaluates IPD and APD for a 12×1 patch array antenna imitating millimeter-wave radar, and then are compared with the limit specified in the international guidelines.
