We have been researching dynamic characteristics of human behavior in balancing tasks.
In our previous study, we proposed a linear single-degree-of-freedom state feedback control (SFC) model that simulates behavior of a human subject performing a balancing task.
However, the proposed model is unable to reproduce a convex property of a probability density function (PDF) constructed from human-measured data.
In this study, in order to reproduce such property, we propose a non-linear single-degree-of-freedom SFC model by incorporating a dead zone characteristic into the previously proposed model.
The parameters of the proposed model are identified for each of four human subjects with a fitting ratio of over $99%$ as evaluated by the residual sum of squares. The identified model successfully reproduces the convex property of PDF. |
