| (in English) | In sewage-treatment plants, the state of sewage in reaction tanks is inspected. The state of microorganisms and activated sludge flocs are evaluated as part of the inspection. In this paper, we propose a system to evaluate the activated sludge flocs from images taken by a microscope from a sample of water taken from a reaction tank. Precisely, the condition of the activated sludge flocs is quantified by calculating the variance of the brightness difference in the boundary line and near the area of the floc. Additionally, linking this system to automatic the activated-sludge flocs condition determination during sewage inspections facilitates UX/DX in sewage treatment by compiling data on the conditions and enabling remote management of sewage conditions. |
