Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To process a large amount of network traffic within a datacenter, optical circuit switches are expected to be deployed. We recently proposed a novel optical circuit switch architecture offering high reliability and high capacity simultaneously. In this paper, the feasibility of the switch architecture is experimentally confirmed by using low-complexity digital coherent receivers designed for short-reach transmission systems. The switch throughput reaches over 100 Tbps even with such low-complexity receivers.
